MUTAGENT

Your open infrastructure for agent factories

Architech, the software factory, built for reliable enterprise software. Built open, works with the model provider you trust.

Writing software used to take a lifetime.
Now it takes a weekend.

Claude Code, Codex and Cursor collapsed idea to working code.

Time to ship a product 2023a quarter 2025a few weeks 2026a weekend

Anyone on your team can write code now.

Writing code is easy. Shipping reliable software is not.

Production-grade software comes down to three things. A coding agent on its own gives you none of them.

01
Reliable
It does what you meant. Without written intent, plans vanish with the session and agents drift from what you asked for.
02
Tested
Every change proven before it merges. Acceptance criteria, tests and CI gates, not a person skimming a diff at the end of the day.
03
End to end
Plan to production, not just code. Review, CI and deploy are where the work queues now, and nobody automated them.

Agents write the code.
The factory makes it shippable at scale.

Specs, tests, a fresh reviewer and merge policies around every change, from intent to production.

With a coding agent, the lifecycle is one slow loop, and you are inside it.

The agent writes the code. You still carry the plan between sessions, rerun the tests and read every diff. Each prompt to review cycle takes days, and nothing you correct carries over to the next session.

prompt the agent generate code fix by handcontext · tests · rules The bottleneck manually reviewa person reads every diff days per change every session starts from zero
You are the relay
You carry context from one session to the next, paste errors back, and judge every change by reading it. The loop moves only as fast as your hours.
Plans vanish
The plan lives in a chat and dies with it. Agents drift from what you meant, because what you meant was never written down.
The queue moves right
Agents write code faster than anyone can review, test and ship it. The bottleneck is no longer writing code, it is everything after.
The shift Stop being the relay, start operating the line. You set intent and make the judgment calls; agents run everything in between.

Every team will run a software factory.

Architech is the orchestrator that runs yours: intent goes in, tested and reviewed changes come out, with a record at every step.

The whole lifecycle, end to end

Plan, build, test, review, ship and monitor, orchestrated. One orchestrator and a team of agents with fixed roles, shared rules and repeatable workflows.

Every change proven before it ships

A spec with acceptance criteria, a test-first build loop, a fresh reviewer that checks the diff against the spec, CI gates, and a PR that says what it read, decided and why.

One engineer runs the line

Anyone plans, everything lands on one board. Orchestrators pick the work up and build in parallel waves, on your machine or always on in the cloud.

One file, factory.yaml, defines your factory.

Write it once with /onboard, run it locally, push it to the cloud when you are ready. Local and cloud runs share the same file.

factory.yaml is the blueprint. Onboarding fits it to your stack.

Every factory starts from the same roles, rules, workflows and gates. /onboard reads your repos, asks about what it cannot see, and customises the blueprint, so the factory builds your kind of software your way.

Framework conventions, end-to-end tests in a browser sandbox, preview deploys per PR.

Backend services

API contracts first, additive migrations only, integration tests against real services.

Embedded

Cross-compile toolchain in the sandbox, hardware test rigs as an external stage, your coding standard as rules.

Mobile, data, monorepos

Simulator tests, pipeline checks, one product context at the root and rules per package.

You decide how much the factory decides.

Start with every gate on. Raise the autonomy tier as the factory earns it, and set a merge policy per environment.

calibration
Ramp up together

Every plan and every merge waits for your approval while the factory learns your codebase and your taste.

standard
Escalate when it matters

The orchestrator decides routine calls alone and asks a person only when risk or complexity says so.

auto
Ship, watch, fix

Auto-ship, monitor and triage. A regression comes back as a hotfix, without waiting on anyone.

Merge policy
What happens
Typical environment
on-approval
All tests and end-to-end acceptance pass, then a person still approves the merge.
prod
as-ready
Merges on its own as soon as all tests and acceptance pass.
e2e · preview
yolo
Same gates, never asks. Monitors after the merge and hotfixes if needed.
staging

Open by design. Your code, your models, your rules.

No black box and no lock-in. Your factory is plain files in your repo, running on the models you choose.

Your trusted model provider

Bring your own key. Pick the provider, model and effort for every role, and keep them under the contracts you already have.

AnthropicOpenAIMistralyour provider
Runs local first

One factory.yaml and Architech runs on your machine, against your repos and boards. The cloud is a choice, not a requirement.

Your files stay yours

Rules, principles and memory are markdown in your repo. The factory never rewrites your AGENTS.md or CLAUDE.md.

Sandboxed and capped

Every stage runs in its own sandbox with your tooling preset, under caps on parallel sandboxes and spend per task.

A record at every step

Issues, PRs, decisions and their why, with every run traced. Audit any change months later.

You hold the merge

Approval gates on plans and PRs, merge policies per environment, and an autonomy tier you raise only when trust is earned.
